Bali airport transport: to Kuta, Seminyak, Canggu & Ubud

Updated:

Bali's Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) is in the south of the island, close to Kuta. How long your transfer takes depends far more on traffic than on distance.

Typical travel times from the airport

DestinationApprox. time by car
Kuta / Legian15–30 minutes
Seminyak30–50 minutes
Canggu45–90 minutes
Sanur25–40 minutes (via toll road)
Nusa Dua / Jimbaran15–30 minutes
Ubud1–2 hours

Estimates; evenings and weekends can be much slower.

Pre-booked private transfer

The least stressful option after a long flight: a driver meets you at arrivals with a name sign and takes you straight to your hotel. You can compare transfers on 12Go, for example airport to Ubud or airport to Kuta.

Airport taxi counter

Official taxi counters in the arrivals hall sell fixed-price rides by zone. They are convenient but usually cost more than a pre-booked transfer.

Ride-hailing apps

Ride-hailing apps can be used for airport pickups at designated points. Follow the signs in the terminal and check the pickup instructions in the app.

Scooter delivered to the airport

If you're travelling light and already ride, some Bali rentals deliver scooters to the airport. Read our scooter rental guide first, and see our sister site SiapPergi for Bali scooter rental by area.

Flying on to Lombok or elsewhere?

See Bali to Lombok or search flights on 12Go: Bali → Lombok flights.
